"Learning should be a pleasurable notion"
About

Originally from Haute-Savoie, I put skis on for the first time at the age of 3 in front of my family home. My father taught me to ski and from 6 to 20 years old I competed and got good results with some podium appearances during the 2 years of my ski studies.  After these years of competition, I graduated to teach and train. I started out as a club coach and then became a ski school instructor.

In addition to my job as a coach and instructor, I worked for several years as an EPS instructor in a medical and social facility that accommodates teenagers and young adults with disabilities. This experience taught me patience and that everyone, regardless of their physical abilities, can progress and have fun. The coaching job taught me the rigor in the organisation of races and training and allowed me to discover a large number of French resorts and competition venues.

Skiing is a sport that is practiced in an extraordinary environment: the mountain. Winter sports brings people from completely different backgrounds together. Personally, I like big open spaces and off-piste skiing (taking all the necessary safety precautions)

I had the opportunity to ski in Canada, Russia, Italy, Switzerland and Slovenia. From these different experiences, I realised that the French ski areas were among the best.

I arrived at La Tania in 1992 for a week and I never left. The population of the resort and the huge ski area immediately seduced me. Outside being an instructor I am a retailer in La Tania.

My favorite tracks and spots are: Combe des Pylônes (Courchevel), the off piste of the Dou des Lanches (La Tania) and many other slopes of the 3 Valleys.

For 38 years now I have shared my passion. The notion of pleasure must be a priority regardless of the level attained. Knowing how to set the right objectives according to your students but always with safety and in tgood spirits. My best memory of teaching is to have assisted, a few years ago, a man suffering from a stroke, to rediscover the joys of skiing despite his disability.

Pleasure, safety and efficiency are the values of ESF.

Apart from skiing, I enjoy cycling for and to keep in a good physical condition. My favourite season above all is winter.
